Whats up with Vectoral and netdirekt, is Vectoral a reseller?

No, Vectoral is not an netdirekt reseller. Vectoral owns all hardware and has its own onsite staff. Click here to verify this with netdirekt. Vectoral's network is hosted in netdirekt datacenter physically seperate off of netdirekt's servers. We receive our internet connection via netdirekt's core-router (which feeds netdirekt's networks).

Does Vectoral Servers have contracts?

Vectoral does not have any type of contract, exclusive or otherwise. We simply require a 7 day notice before the next due date to cancel any server.

How long does it take to get my server after I place the order?

All of our servers that are in stock are provisioned, installed and setup in 24-72 hours (estimated) from the time that we confirm payment. The majority of our servers are deployed within this time frame, although depending on the configuration of the server and the current work load, the deployment may take a little longer.

If you have pre-ordered the server in question, this means we will have to order the hardware in question from our supplier and build it for you, this process can take up to 14 days and on delivery, your billing period will be adjusted accordingly. 

Where are your servers located?

Dedicated servers are hosted in our own cage at the Avaya Tenovis datacenter in Frankfurt, Germany.

What does technical support include?

We offer basic technical support 24/7, 365 days a year. We have engineers and techs physically at our datacenter around the clock. Basic support includes installation of the operating system and control panel, if you choose one. Our servers are 100% self-managed - in other words, fully managed by you or your server admin.

How is bandwidth measured and how can I view my usage?

Bandwidth usage is measured from samples taken at the switch. You can monitor and check your bandwidth usage by logging into myVCTRL, you can access myVCTRL by going to https://my.vectoral.info. Once there, choose the bandwidth monitor for the specific server in question to see how much bandwidth you are using. The total transfer listed is the actual transfer your server has done, both in and out.

All bandwith quotas are reset on the first of the month. Each servers bandwidth quota may be used in any way you wish as long as it doesn't exceed your total quota. Once you reach your monthly total your server will NOT be turned off or have the network disconnected. You will be charged an overage fee of 0.25$ per GB for anything over total. Invoices for bandwidth overage will be sent out at the end of the month.

What is your policy on bandwidth?

We do not limit/throttle/cap your transfer rate for your dedicated server. Your dedicated server will have a 100Mbps network connection. If you exceed your monthly transfer limit, you will be billed for any excess.

Do you setup the DNS? How do I set ReverseDNS?

The customer is responsible for setting up all software on their server, We can provide the RDNS (reverseDNS) for you, as we do this for 95% of our customers. Be aware that the Vectoral Servers name will remain in the trace route. Once the server is deployed, a customer can simply set the rDNS from myVCTRL.

What is myVCTRL?

myVCTRL is our revolutionary client area portal system which allows you to view and pay your invoices, open/raise support tickets, view traffic usage realtime, reboot your server instantly, set reverseDNS instantly, re-install your server and much more. It can be accessed by going to https://my.vectoral.info

Where can I test speed of file download and ping?

You may ping blink.vectoral.info and use http://blink.vectoral.info/100mb.tgz to test speeds. Additionaly we sponsor the Frankfurt, Germany node of speedtest.net which may be accessed at http://frankfurt.speedtest.net.

Does Vectoral Servers allow adult content on their servers?

We do allow legal adult content on our websites (18+). All content on a Vectoral Servers server must follow our AUP and must follow all applicable local laws. Any customer found to be in non-compliance with any applicable law may have their account suspended or revoked at our sole discretion

Does Vectoral Servers allow IRC or P2P applications on the network?
